GON.IS.

GON.IS. is an association that describes itself as promoting “parental equality”. Its title is wordplay with “goneis”, which means “parents” in Greek, and an acronym that stands for “parental equality”. The association was founded in 2006 by former members of the Association for Male and Paternal Dignity. It was approved as a “primary social care” institution by ministerial decision in 2015. It offers informational and mediation services for people facing divorce and child custody issues. During 2020 it became one of the prominent groups lobbying for family law reform.
