Michalis Kalogirou is a lawyer. In 2015, he was appointed Secretary General of the Cabinet of Ministers in the SYRIZA/ANEL coalition government, until 2018, when he was appointed Minister of Justice, Transparency and Human Rights. He has served on the Board of the Athens Bar Association, and is currently Director of the office of the Leader of the Opposition and President of SYRIZA, Alexis Tsipras.
